Two-time MVP Stephen Curry has spent his entire NBA career with the Golden State Warriors, and he wants to keep it that way.
When asked about Bill Simmons' podcast this week if he wanted to be a warrior for life, Curry said, "Sure I do. This is my home. This is where I want to be, for obvious reasons."
Those obvious reasons include three NBA titles in the past four years, three All-Stars as teammates, and a five-year, $ 201 million contract that will carry him into the 2021-22 season.
"I love the bay area, man," said Curry. "The only reason I'm going home now [to Charlotte] is if my sister is getting married or if the Hornets are going to play for that game, so I really haven't been back much. I haven't set my mind there." .
Curry, 30, also spoke about how long he could play, noting how Jason Kidd, one of the most athletic point guards in history, adjusted his game when his body changed and was still effective late in his career.
"You never know what it will take to get on with your career," Curry said, "but I think I can solve it."
He said he will spend the summer preparing to play.
"There are many more elements and there is much more strategy that involves it," Curry said. "My body is responding amazingly right now ... I can see how much goes into just being ready to play, and then summers you have to establish that base."
